What is the best way to store homemade wine?

I received a kit for Christmas and have bottled the wine now. During the liquidation phase the instructions said to refrigerate to help with the cleanup. Now that the wine is bottled, should I go to chill? It seems that once you are there that would a mistake to carry it out. If I take it out, what is the proper storage procedure?

Bordeaux red varietals (Cab, Merlot) should be stored between 50 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmer a wine is the faster the age. Remember, heat and light destroy wine. In fact, I keep all my red (Burgundy, Rhone, Loire, langudoc, Spain, Italian, Californian, oregons, etc in F. I can store my white 55 to 45 F. If you have a cool, dark place, which would safely out of the refrigerator
