home wine making supplies
Winemaking Instructions??

I have a house wine. My grandfather used to do when I was a kid but he was gone and now I have the error. What are the basics and what supplies I need? I have no pottery, etc …. bubblers would be starting from scratch. Any help?

If you are interested in learning about wine making at home, I recommend you check out for more http://winemaking.jackkeller.net/ information. I would also recommend picking up a copy of CJJ Berry's book "First Steps in Winemaking. As far as supplies go, there are some basic needs a sealed fermenter (or two), inner tubes, washing the hydrometer and siphon. These usually can be picked up as a kit from your local store or online homebrew or http://www.austinhomebrew.com http://www.midwestsupplies.com. These kits include all the equipment needed to brew 5 or 6 gallon batch. Then will have to consider what kind of wine that you want to do. Kits are available (again homebrew store) for just about any variety of wine grape you want, or you could do a 'country style' wine (fruit, honey, etc..) website I mentioned Jack Keller has a vast collection of recipes as well as http://scorpius.spaceports.com/ ~ goodwin / winerecipes.htm. Feel free to email me anytime if you need help or have any another question.
